you can get a cheap spray job for ?700, but it will be the biggest mistake you will ever make
Expect to pay ?2000+ even if you know the person doing it. Decent preparation and hours is what costs the money and then the quality of materials available is so vast.
Hope i make sense? lol

yeah as above, a lot depends on what you are willing or can do youself,
if you can't or won't do any of the work yourself, 2K + depending on what needs doing, more if it needs weilding!

Any really good spray shop wont let you do your own prep as so much of the final outcome depends on this.
I know a guy with a spray shop and he quoted me just under ?2K and that was mates rates.

ive just had mine done it cost me ?1500 with me doing all the striping of the car, removing anything that could get off bumpers, arches, skirts, trims, they done all the prep removed the windows and lifted back the roof and they done an excellent job, it helped abit that the painter loved mk1s and is half way through doing his own. but be warned i spent months going round 100s of places getting quotes and always ask to see there work. so if anyone lives near bicester i have a highly recommened bodyshop.
