im going to have a go at replacing the roof skin but i need some information on how to do it, anyone?

spot weld then grind back lick of filler jobs a goodun :wink:

do i need to seem weld along the side of the gutter to keep the water out?

seamsealer pal, if you seam weld it you will warp it

if you very carefully cut along the outide of the gutter you can remove the top section - like a staple
you can then remove the whole skin complete and replace with the new one
then hammer the gutter section you cut off, back over the new roof skin and inner gutter to remake the gutter as it left the factory
then you just have to very slowly weld the cut lines and dress it back
did exactly this on a 800 mm section of my roof
all welded back - no filler just metal and some acid etch / guide coat ready chasing any highs / lows

I know it's an old thread but the above job looks epic, need more info on that lol. Top job from foxy too.
Doesn't look like a major job to remove each roof skin and line up, it just the re-welding that I can't do!
