Replacing C-post rubber seals ! ! ! PLEASE :'-(
The car came to me in bits and without the roof fitted to the car so as you can emagin a few bits where bound to be missing. Taking this into account i found a company called CarHoodsNorthern to do the work as they told me they offer a pick up and delivery service and that they where happy to keep the car on sight untill completion even if this meant waiting and ordering missing parts. The price wasn't exactly cheep but they did come highly reccomended.
Here comes the problem . . .
I get a phone call less than 24hrs after they picked my car up saying the job was set to complete and that it would be back with me the following morning. Great i thought, that is untill Jim tells me i was missing the two rubber C-post trim rubber seals :-( Not to worrie he says, " when you get a hold of them you will be able to fit them yourself no problem". Less than two weeks later i have recieved them in the post(Thanks CrazyQuiffs) but to my horror am seemidly unable to fit them at the hood/roof or the car has already been fitted.
At what stage of the roof fit should this part have been fitted?
And how am i able to fit them myself at this stage?
Does the roof have to come off again?
Please Help Me!!! as without these the car isnt watertight for winter and i dont want a boot full of water!

Hay, just to set the scene i am new to all this Forum stuff and also to the world of mk1. I have recently purcesed a MK1 Gti '89 Cab and i am in the process of restoration set to be completed by the summer. As we all know the weather has been awful recently so i figured it would be a good idea to get my roof done now that way the car is water tight for the summer, even though it is storred in a garage you never know.
