Repair advice - Welding - how much?

Been to see a MK1 that needs welding repairs:

1. Wheel well -  at the back part(not a huge hole or massive rust but daylight)
and prep and respray rear panel.

2. F/O/S floor pan just below the bottom off the front wing.(small hole)

3. R/N/S bottom of wing/corner. (small hole)

Whats that likely to cost?

                                and

4. Operation of clutch is very, very heavy. (New cable or complete clutch?) or are they all heavy?

Thanks

Jules

Whereabouts are you located? There are a number of people in the club, who have restored Golfs in the past and are adept at welding, and probably have a welder sitting in the shed not doing much. They may well take on a little bit of welding to save another Mk1...

There are a few other bits and bobs that need doing so the bill is climbing. I think I could get the car for around a grand (no less. I need to fine tune my bartering skills!!) but with another thousand on top I think I will wait for another car to come along.

I'd change the clutch myself but have never welded. I think I would have to blag some help from here or pay someone to do it. I'm in Surrey and I see that there are few enthusiast in the London/Berks area…………

Thanks
