Removing the sound proofing inside car
Can any one tell me the best way to remove the sound proofing from the inside of a MK1 Golf cabriolet because i want to strip the whole thing down for respraying and some fool spilled Antifreeze all over the floor and the carpet has to go to.
Thanks.
Thanks.

i always find using a hot air gun a scraper and sum thinners. heat up the sound proofing then it goes soft and just scrapes off, then use a rag of thinners n wiper black stuff it leaves behind it works a treat hope that helps

it takes a bit longer than 5 mins but this time of the year its the way to do it,
in the winter you can can get away with chisseling it off with the aid of freeze spray
