Removing the dash, easy or a tw@t ??

With me going to start driving the Mk1 a lot more I want to sort all the tiny jobs out that I have been putting off…

One job is that the dash looks to be a few mm off horizontal center. Its probably not even visible to most folks but to me it just looks a little bit out and annoys me. So I am going to strip the dash out and get it back on perfect line.

I have nevr done this before on a Golf so before I go in and break everything, is this an easy task or shall I just live with it?

Any pointers??
