removing glue

My golf is nearly stripped ready for baremetal respray heading to the bodyshop next month .Has any one any ideas on removing glue that holds the  door seals  on,and the sidestripe glue.
I try and get some photos up before it goes to the sprayshop if i can work out how to post them.

          thanks  mark

Heatgun and a scraper maybe?

Or at work we use Servisol Label Remover which we get from CPC but you need to set up an account (great site though and has so much stuff you'd also want!

Hope that helps and get some pics up of the before and after spray job

For removing residue of glue (rather than larger lumps of it), use lighter fluid - it contains Napthalene, a solvent that dissolves glue really well.

You still might have to start off with the heat-gun/scraper  :x , but this will help you finish easily  :)
