Finally gotten round to stripping my cabby and it looks like you need to remove the dash to get to the push fit screw jobbys! i have the book and it reckons you can take it out before the dash but i cant fathom it out#1 dash came out fairly easily though! :banghead:

You need to be somewhat of a contortionist. Easier to take the seats out but can be done without - i did. Clips on the top edge of the knee bar - push the centre out with something like a small allen key and then you can remove the trim

Got it out, not that hard, just the four bolts and some dodgy wiring from previous owners. Might be a bit harder to get the bolts back in

Knee bar removal

Planning to get the centre console out to fit some VDO gauges.Have read the threads on here about knee bar removal(and in the Haynes manual)and have removed the 4 bolts and 4 nuts but I can't get it to budge!Am I missing some hidden fixings or is it just a very tight fit?
TIA
