refurb faded vinyl roof

Hi, my blue vinyl roof has started to fade in some areas, just wondered if anybody had any tips? jst tried shoe polish on a small area and it seems to do the trick!

not sure about the fading but hope this helps. i've just had a new black top fitted 3 days ago and the guy doing it told me to regularly put wd40 on a cloth and wipe all over the roof.supposed to keep it in good condition or something.it's worth a try.
