Rear Panel

Anyone replaced the back panel and if so have you put back the wide metal strap from the underside of the wheel well to the rear panel?

I replaced the lower section of my back panel. I just looked through previous posts on this site to gain an idea of the size/shape of the panel you mention.

It's a thin piece of metal 6 inches wide and 4 inches long and is welded from the underside of the wheel well to the bottom lip of the rear panel. I assume its to strengthen upo the panel, but I'm thinking of giving it a miss as its a dirt trap.

The rear panel flaps around and buzzes from the vibration if its left out. Not structural, but nice to have.

Better put one in then. What thickness should the metal be?

Same as rear panel - 0.8 mm
