Position of jack, and rear belts!!?
Hi guys, bit of a random one but im just tiding up my golf.
I have the factory jack but its always just been floating in the boot, not sure where it goes!!? There is a little metal arm on the rhs bottom corner closest to the rhs rear light that i thought it could be a part of?!
Also the rear seat belts obviously bolt onto the bolt holes in the middle and there are some bolt holes on the rear sides, but how does it all look as i dont have a set yet and it previously had some wacky looking rally belts!?! Cheers!

Jack the car using a trolley jack on the rear beam or front inner wishbone mounts . These cars are prone to bending sills when jacked up on them . Factory jack was supposed to be used on the sills look for a small triangle front and rear on the sill . This marks the spot to use it but as i said the older these cars get the more they don't like jacks on the sills !

not sure what you mean
but on my own, later cab model(92), jack had little plastic housing with 2 big black bands that slipped nicely into the spare wheel, also thought i'd no back belts till i found them under the seat while cleaning one day, surprisingly awkward to keep them out while seat went back down.

yep, the jack goes in the spare wheel well with a big rubber band type thing to keep it in position.
