Hi there, I'm hoping someone can help me with getting some celly paint to match the car
here is the sticker in the boot:
I googled this and got monacoblau
got it mixed up and this is the result:
so either they mixed it wrong or I got the wrong code (LA5D) I need to get this done so I can paint the windscreen surround and then get a screen fitted for the MOT.
Thanks in advance

Was the car repainted at some stage. If you can find someone with a spectrometer it will match the colour for you. I have one at work if you. Could post a small piece to me

It's an 81 1.1c. I don't think it's been painted since new tbh.

Not even close are they mate. I would say as above that it's a slip of the finger and a mistake.

Yes, but look at the first picture showing the boot sticker.
Comparing the paint sample to that as the paint inside is less likely to have been altered, so it may well been of repainted.
Also remeber that paint fades over the years with sun/uva attack etc. Not sure it would be this much out though.
Dent doc is right you need a spectrometer really to get it right or youll end up with loads of blue paint that don't match. I had this with my Helios blue cabby, apparently there are 3 shades of helios blue all year dependant.

well thats a lot of prep, my plan is to respray eventually in solid nimbus grey. But to get MOT, tax and coilovers for this season
then AFH conversion next winter
and paint the following year….

sent the pics to the paint guys, they say the chip looks like the paint mixed, so next step is to take a sample to them. Sadly the smallest "sample" would be the damn bonnet!

Thanks for the offer Dentdoc, there is no flaky paint (well topcoat at least) on it that I can see...
