plastic for metal, mk1 golf gti wheel arches, HELP!

Hello, welcome the newbie.

I am attempting to acquire this:



but i want metal front and rear bumpers, and metal wheel arches, much like this mk1:



Is it possible to acquire bumpers like that? And what of the metal arches, can they be installed or i can i simply remove the plastic from the gti and 'get to work'?

they are plastic bumpers painted.
the arches have been extended on the car you show by grafting an arch from another mk1 to the existing arch. it's a lot of work for not much benefit.
you can remove the plastic arch peices from a gti. be warned you are likely to find a few rust holes. (most people do)

so when you say painted, it looks amazing, is it simply coats of primer and black? Also, there are various wheel arch repair kits on the net. Is that kind of what i'm looking for or is the only way to get the arches i want to graft on one?
