Paint Name/Code?????

I've got a 1984 GTI Cabrio in dark grey. Can anyone please tell if they know the proper colour name or code. If not where I can find out.

there should be a white data sticker in the boot, on the cross beam thats behind the rear seat usually, that holds all the info on engine/g,box and trim and colour codes, paint code is a 4 letter one something like LA5V... thats not your code its just an example!!!
