Paint Code - Helios Blue
Last year at E38 there was a guy in a Mk1 parked near the show inspection tent in a Helios Blue Mk1 which was identical in colour and shade to mine, but during a chat with him he mentioned that there were two Helios Blues, one was the LA5Y and the other which is his / my colour which I cannot for the life of me remember the code of.
By any chance does anyone know what the code is for this 'other' Helios Blue??
Thanks in advance

I believe that the lighter version was used on the earlier tin tops. But the Darker shade which I believe is supposed to have a purple hue to it was used later inc cabbies.
I had issues as when my car went in for a service the mechanic dropped the air tool on my wing top and dented it. It went to the body shop and came out in a light silvery blue colour I had to complain about that. Eventually they had to bring a paint specialist in to match the paint.

any compotent body shop should be able to get a very close match with inhouse charts and colour maps, if not get it analyzed that probably wont give you the code but it will give you a formulation for the colour.
