OH No! Paint reaction - a good one.
Inspection of the trims showed they were spot on so it was not required but then I remembered that one of my wheels had a rough dry spot, and also the finish was slightly mottled because my nozzle was too small - so I started on the wheel.
Then I remembered that the wheels were coated in epoxy mastic primer and as a 2 part finish the celly/thinners mix might not level/gloss it up as expected. However as Magnus says "I've started so i'll finish", and I continued to coat the wheel face.
I then went and cleaned the gun and tidied up a bit.
Eventually I went back to the wheel and my suspicions were correct, it hadn't glossed up at all, but instead was now flatter than a witches ***.
A nice uniform matt that matches the wheel centres perfect and looks so much better with the added bonus of never needing the brake dust cleaned off.
left hand wheel is as it was, right hand is with reaction.
Now I have to ruin the other three equally.
