newbie, need advice on welding panal between engine and dash

Hi is there an easy way of doing the panal where the clutch cable etc comes through, someone told me the is a pre made bit i can not seem to find it? HELP?????

They sometimes are on ebay. Just a stick on plate...

do i have to take dash out, bit worried about fire if i weld from engine side?

Don't even need to weld. You can just stick it on… Make sure the area is clear of rust, spray up in red oxide or zinc primer, stick plate on. Run a bead of sealant or seam sealer around the edges, let dry and spray. Job done.

Have you got the plate yet? eurocarparts have them listed, or try beevers auto panels (google it) or your local hadrian stockist.
