New user with wet legs needs advice - Clipper roof!

Hello all,
I'm new to this forum and I have a question. On my Mk1 clipper I never had the rain guard things that I've seen on most others. I think they are plastic and live on the roof frame above the front side windows. Without these I get a constant dribble in wet weather. Anyone know if I can get these? Or, is there a workaround? I can't be the only one can I?
Hood itself not bad so it would be a shame to replace it just for this! Also, the rear tension rod has corroded. Anyone know how tricky these are to fit?

Hi and welcome, there's plenty of cabby experts here (not me!) but check out the buyers guide on the home page as I know there's plenty of good tips on how the roof SHOULD be!
