There is often a debate on here as some swear by mohair, but others say depending on where you use car and store it, vinyl is better / looks more factory ….
I did meet a stall owner at Bristol Volksfest last year who sells the goods on ebay for around £100.00 and to my eye they were good quality for the dosh, but then i hadnt seen to many other to make a good comparison
where are you based ? are you planning on fitting yourself, maybe you could give nothern car hoods a call and get a price for supplied and then supplied and fitted, also if you post up your location, someone on here may have used local supplier and fitter they may recommend.
Keep us updated as need to change my hood soon ! just waiting for mises to stop spending all my spare cash !

I have done 3 roofs now.
Had 2 from the states and one was from Ebay that jelly belly and I did on his car was off ebay, a mohair one.
It was from this company
http://www.car-hood.co.uk/
It is mohair and was a fantastic fit, if you pm jelly I am sure he would point you in the right direction as to where he got it from off the bay.

you really need BAS International hoods as these are the best quality
my mohair cost me £200 ish and it good
alot of the companies one ebay selling the vinyl hoods are factory seconds now i don't know what makes them seconds.
simply message the person asking for there supplyer to make sure they are good one and ask if they are seconds whats the reason for this.

If you're thinking about replacing it yourself there's a brill guide on here with pics all the way that hubby used when he did mine a few years ago.
