mk1 sunroof panel

Will a mk2 panel fit aswell as the mk1 one. Just spotted one on ebay that says just that but i wanted to double check.

i'm 99% sure the steel sunroof is the same item

100% mk1 and mk2 sunroofs are the same including all the mechanisms. Either buy off Ebay or you should find a few mk2's in your local scrap yard  :wink:

Does any else no of a direct fit 'Factory sunroof' that will plop straight in a MK1 .   

List so far is MK2 Golf all models
                  MK3 POLO all models

My mate's mk1 has a tilt and slide roof from an Audi that apparently drops straight in, but he doesn't know what Audi it's from as it was done before he bought it.
