mk1 restoration

i have just had a good look round my new golf and it needs the following   

* scuttle repair panel on both sides
* 2 front wings
* small patch around accelerator pedal
* tailgate or repair panel ?
* bonnet (rusty inside)
* 2 rear quarters? (rust under n/s quarter window and fuel cap o/s)
* part where wheel well joins rear panel has come apart
 Anyone know where i can get the parts from its a small light mk1 ? and is any of it really nasty to do ?

front wings still avalible from vag pattent one don't line up very well but looking at a 100 quid a side there rear quater you can only get acrh rear panels now from euro car parts inner wings from parts pannel etc tailgate and bonnet ebay is your friend

Also speak to Crazyquiff (he's a mod on the forum) . He's got some panels and can cut out hard to get bits (like the rear quarter area you mention) from scrapped shells.

thats pritty much what mine neaded, all pritty easy to do, although i found more rot the more i looked!!

tell me about it , i have found some more , little bits on the front inner wings and where the top bolt in the wing goes has dissapered both sides but i think i can make a plate for that   , im gonna put front floor pans in  cos its had patches put on and i dont like patches  :evil: , if ur gonna do a job u might aswell do it properly  dont u think

Hi,,I have got a  perfect mk1 body 2 dr….I bought it on the condition that the car was not to be put back on the road,,so if you r interested let me know and I can cut out any pieces that you need…..and if I haven't got it on that car I av got plenty of other golfs in stock to take bits off….cheers…
