Mk 2 seats for Mk1
My dad has this idea of putting mk2 seats into our mk1, will they fit?
its a 90/91 Hreg mk1 Gti convrtible if that info is needed???
This is what Id prefer, if anyone can help…..
Does anyone know a good place in Cornwall where we can get seats repaired?
The drivers seat is starting to wear in obvious places and the foam is starting to…..what can i say….fall out in bits?
Cheers

mk 2 fronts will fit the rears dont.
on ebay they sell leather or vinal seat covers.
basically strip down your seats bin the fabric then fit the covers about £350 to buy the covers in leather and its a bit cheaper for vinal but looks the same to be honest.
or do as i did and look for a passenger seat and swap the base over.

Okay you need this

Personally if your spending time and money on leather, I would put new foam bases in, not cheap, but cannot see the point in stripping the seats back down IF the old bases crumble away.
cheers
