Missing Vin Plate!

Hi all hope some one can help me out!!! I've got a 1987 cabriolet , its got a new slam panel on and the vin plate is missing so ive got 2 problems

1 where else on the car can i confirm the vin number ?

2 does anyone know were i can get a replacement vin plate and whats the cost?

your expert knowledge is appreciated!!!!

Hi

At the back of the engine bay there is a scuttle panel that goes across the width of the bay. On top the is usual a rubber seal and between the scuttle panel and the bulk head there's a plastic tray.

If you look in the plastic tray it should have a window and you can see the chassis number through that.

If you pm Shughy, he can sort you out with a replica VIN plate. Do a search on VIN plate and you'll see his efforts.
