manual to Electric roof???

Hi,

Does anyone know if theres a company that makes kit's to convert from a manual hood to electric one. so hard to find some1 breakin a mk1 with a electric roof. been told that you have to change the whole roof frame as its different?? is this correct? other than that its just the ram and motor i assume?

ill have to buy a book and take a look at the conversion

main issue is you need to weld in the brackets in the boot for it, and the hood frame needs to be swapped.

We have just fited an electric roof to my 84 cab. Make sure you get the wiring and take measurements before removing the brackets.
