limited edition colour?

hi, i jus bought a mk1 its been sprayed a horrible lime white colour, in the door shuts you can still see the original paint… i was wondering if this was a rare model/colour? and if it effects the value of the car? heres a pic…

it's definately worth less now.

what is the paint code? im sure some one will tell you what it was, it should be on a sticker in the boot.

I only payed 70 quid for it .. i just want to know for restoration purposes.. eg. would it be worth any money if i had it resprayed? if not i will continue with my plan of ratting it

it looks similar to lhasa green (LA6V) but I Think this was only available on GTIs  :dontknow:

not 100% but i'm sure it was available on other model/s. i can remember seeing a 5 door in a dark lhasa green. remember there were different shades.
it's hard to tell from the pic as your car looks alot lighter shade than the example pic. it does appear to be lhasa green but what code, i don't know?
