Leather - leatherette Opinions.
I got my car booked in to have a leather retrim in a few months in cream.
Someone said to me today that I might as well go for leatherette as is just as hard wearing and is used on some new cars (mainly the new mini)
What's peoples thoughts on leatherette?
Cheers.

If I had a Rivage, leather all the way mate.
I am not so sure the leatherette would wear as well as leather though.

i work for an interior design and fit out business and sometimes when my client wants leather on thier sofa's etc i suggest to them a product called Camira Virtual plus, the colour for a rivage cream interior would prob be "Dream VIR02".
Its a virtual leather and you would never tell the difference, i believe its as hard wearing and easy to clean but dosnt have such a premium in price.
you can find some more detais on it here:

If you call them they will send you a sample out
let me know how you get on, i definately wana give your roof guys a shout, where did you say they were Swansea? also im thinking about keeping my standard late interior but seeing if i could get it done as half leather.

When I originally booked it in they asked me if I had thought about leatherette but I said I wanted leather.
I phoned them earlier and they said to go there 2 weeks before and they will show me 2 of the same seats but they have been done in both materials.
If your thinking of having your roof done then I highly recommend them, there cheap to compared too the big companies in england.
I'll pm you there details when I'm home from work.

Its hardwearing, looks great so why risk a manmade alternative.
