leaking roof

hi can someone tell me if the  foam seals under the rubber seal holders are replace. will this stop the drippin of water tho near the handles..?????

hi ya thanx for that.. just one more thing the metal strip that the seal goes in the foam strip goes underneith that dont it ??

yeah you take seal off, unbolt metal strip, clean old caky foam off and put nice shiny new foam on

yeah its held in place by the foam strips, they're sticky. be carefull when removing as its easy to deform the strips as only alu

i got 91. is there any other leakin points in the car do u know ?

the rear screen is a good one, either due to frame rot or the sealant round the rubber perishing. you'll know if it is as your parcel shelf will be damp.  mine also used to leak thru the hood itself, as the seams at each side had come unglued from the inside.  plus the top seal on the windscreen surround, there is supposed to be a bit of selant about 20cm from the edge either side, so if someone has swapped the seal and not replaced it can leak.

oh and vapour barriers behind the doors are good ones for leaks.
