Leaking Roof

Can anyone help me please. I have recently purchased a mk1 golf cabrio and have found that the roof leaks

The roof leaks at the top of the doors at the top of the window runner, but the odd thing is it only leaks when the car is facing up hill or even a slight incline when the car is flat or facing down hill it never leaks

Any help with this would be great

I paid a company to get mine perfect but if you PM 'chortle' (the roof guru) he will be more than happy to help you out.

BigNormRivage - how much did it cost and what did they have to do?

Well 1st of all mate I had the roof made by a trimmers.

They did a great job making it but not to good at fitting it.

I took the car to BAS international in Cwmbran.

They took the entire roof off and rear window out and readjusted everything to how it should be.

Cost me £80 (they had the car all day) and 'touch wood' its been watertight ever since.
