You should have a warranty on the top and workmanship?
Tell the fitter you need it sorting out, for nothing.
A hood should last for more than a year new.

It may just need adjusting at the J hooks at the front to pull the header seal in tighter.

As the hoods tend to settle in place and stretch with the frame over time.

Did they replace the foam gaskets at the same time?

Another thing is to check the front header seal that runs across the front of the widnscreen frame.

The sealant underneath can need replacing and is easy to do.
Just run a strip of masking tape to the edge of the seal where it meets the paint and apply the non setting mastic from the outer edges at the A pillar drip trim covers and apply in about 7 inches, do both sides.

Put some pics up so we can see the hood..it may help.

Yes all do able your self easy.

If you want more info Pm me and I can help you out with more detailed stuff on how to  sort it out.

Foam gaskets, take about an hour or less. A few mins doing the sealant and adjusting the J hooks.

Another thing is wether they did the sillicone around the front first screw hole under the very first seal.

Very common Issue.

Hi,

No pics as yet?

thanks for your PM, but some pics would help me out a little.

Have you tried the J hook adjustment?

You say leaking from the windows.

The seals that contact the top edge of your windows should contact the seal and depress it slightly so it curls gently over the glass edge.

There are 2 options.
Check what foam gaskets have been fitted, you need to make sure you have the proper stuff, not thin rubbish or the distance between the rubber seal and glass can go out.

Also there is an adjustment bolt behind the door cards, that adjusts the height stop of the glass.
Remember though not to sdjust to high or it will deform the seal on the door and tear it at the top.

Under the door there is also an adjustment bolt that moves the glass in and out against the B Pillar seal.

Also the channel guide seal, the one that the window runs up and down in, next to the little quarter light glass. They can slip down and leave a gap at the top, very common, so wind the window down fully and pull the seal back up.

Cheers
