Is it a pattern wing or genuine.

I have bought a wing I was told was genuine, but with further inspection under the old paint I removed it has no vw/audi stamp like the caddy wing I have as a spare has?

Should it be in the same place?

If its not genuine it has obviously been fitted to a previous vehicle, am I wasting my time with a repro though?

info appreciated

I cant remember where the VW Audi logo is, I think it is on the part of the wing which butts up to the door pillar.

Generally repo wings fit like poo, but as you say it has already been fitted before, it may have had a bit of time spent on it by a panel beater getting it to sit better……….only way to tell is to position it on your car and see how well/badly it aligns  :dontknow:

main difference ive found is the quality/thickness of the metal. pattern ones are thinner and generally look cheaper if that makes sence

there is a faint vw audi stamp on genuine ones as someone has said earlier near the holes where it fixes to the a post, may have to look quite closely to see.
