interior/seats

i have a mk1 cabby that needs new seats, i realise that the mk2 and corrado seats fit but its difficult to find a decent set, now the question is does anyone know what other seats from any other cars might fit with maybee a bit of welding / modification.

i imagine scirocco seats would be a pretty similar fit
