Interior for 83 cabby gti
Hi, I'm trying to source some replacement front seats for my cabby as a previous owner has replaced them with the red strip black gti ones and left the rear bench with a black cover over it and I would really like to get them back to original. Problem I have is that I'm unsure of what interior it is and so far have not had any luck finding replacements or replacement material that I could use. I have found a couple of other owners with the same problem so thought I'd see if anyone knows or had a result is sourcing these seats ar replacement cloth material.
I've got a couple of pics of the rear top bench and door card. It's white with blue pinstripe.
Cheers
Dan

There are two interior codes for that upholstery: 13 and, later, 21. That interior was installed in the White Edition Cabriolets (and early Wolfsburg Editions here in the States).
I've been asked a number of times over the past decade if that upholstery can be sourced. Unfortunately, it has long been out of VW's parts catalog/warehouse, so you'll have to source used seats/upholstery or have matching cloth custom-made.

Hi,
Thanks for the info I had kinda expected that it was going to be impossible to source original material, which is a real shame as it does look great. I'll just have to keep my eye out and hopefully might find some decent 2nd hand ones although I won't hold my breath. I've got some donor seats that I'm gonna have retrimmed in the mean time as the front black and red ones really do not go with the car.
