Interior Alternatives For A MK1 Cab?

Hello Forum,

I have just recently bought a MK1 Cab (Havana Edition), bronze colour with a NICE brown interior!

Its completely standard and in fairly good condition considering its almost 20 years old!  

The drivers seat bolsters is heavily worn, so im looking at alternative interiors VW to replace the front two seats!

Ive seen the later spec mk1 cabs, with interiors very similar to that of the MK2 GTI, im just wondering whether a MK2 GTI front seats will be a direct fit, without any butchering!

Ive also heard that Corrado interiors (Full Interior - Door Cards, Seats etc), will fit in with a minimal amount of chopping!

Ideally i would like a nice leather retrim, but with my Vento VR6 being off the road with a blown engine, i cant exactly splash out at the moment!

Has anyone done any of the above to there mk1?

yes mk2 front seats will fit staright in, as will corrado and scirocco. The rear benchs from all of those are NOT direct swaps but can be made to fit with a bit of fettling.

the corrado door cards will not fit either.

you could obviously just go with a whole second hand interior from another cab which would also mean it will all match, otherwise you'll have to find seats which match the rest of your interior or drive round with unmatched seats 'till you can afford to retrim them!

To save another posting, I'm in a similar position, there is a complete Mk1 GTI Tin lid interior for sale on E bay. Will everything fit a Cabby, including door cards & rear cards ?
