How to remove Bumper Skin from the Bumper Irons

I've gone through the forum trying to find out exactly how to remove the bumper skin on the front bumper of my Mk1 Cabby (1989) but cant seem to find any more information than be careful not to damage the lugs.

I have already removed the bumper and can see the lugs on the inside. What do I have to do to separate the skin from the irons?

not 100% on these but if its the same as on mk2 golfs, there are plastic wedges which are pushed into the middle of all the clips. pull the wedges out then refit the bumper, then pull the skin and it should pop off. while its off look for any screws or other clips which might secure it in palce

As Jonny States, there are also some metal clips that hold the lower section on too. the wedges are in the centre so just pull them out. It's fairley straight forward.
