How do you remove wings?

I know this may sound daft considering I have all ready removed one of my wings! But the wing I removed first was so rusty it pretty much fell off.

I noticed that there are bolts down the inside of the wing holding it to the body of the car. I simply bent the old wing to give my self access to the bolts, but I can?t do that with the other wing as I don?t want to damage it.  So how do you undo the bolts on the inside of the wing? Do you by any chance have to take off the wheel and arch liner to get access to the bolts?

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers
Dan

you pretty much answered your own question mate,

yes to the above but you will no doubt have to remove some seam sealer before you can see the bolt heads,

it should also be bolted to the front valance, lower sill and of course the top of the wing under the bonnet,

good luck and try not to bend the wing when you remove it as that sealer is strong stuff and will hold it tight without the bolts being in place

Take all the bolts out as above and the run a stanley knife down rhe back edge inside the wing.  try to gouge out as musg sealer from the top back inside the wing - release the front of the wing and lift gently

Almost impossible to get them of without some sort of damage.

Cheers for that, I figured the wheels would be the last thing on at the factory so the bolts being fitted from the inside would make scene.

lol, wish me luck, I have to remove 2 wings in a scrap yard tomorrow.
