Help! Clipper wheel arches!

Hi, bit of a newbie here! I do a whole loada reading but not much posting! I kinda need some advice if possible..? :wink:

Ive got a 91 Golf Clipper and yesterday I had a lovely articulated lorry attempt some manouvers outside my house which resulted in him scraping my wheel arch! :evil: This is the second lorry thats done this outside my house in the last 6 months but this time it was my car and not my friends that was hit!
Anyway, Im wondering where I could get a new wheel arch as its scraped and slightly split so Im unsure if its repairable… Im decideing whether to do an insurance claim (?250 compulsory excess initially) or whether just to pay to have it fixed it myself and to save the hassle? Its a fibreglass Clipper kit btw.

Any suggestions on where to buy wheel arches alternatively? Do I need to replace the whole Clipper kit? Should I make an insurance claim? Is it worth claiming for something so minor - how does it affect your insurance???

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as Im a little confused on what to do!
