HELP.. CAN A MANUAL MOHAIR ROOF ADAPT TO ELECTRIC??

Hi

I am rebuilding my Green Rivage and have got a Black Mohar roof however it is sitting on a Manual non electric frame so does not have the brackets which can connect to the hydrolics in the car. The roof was previously on a mark1 which did not have the electric roof function.

is it possible to yet make this roof electric connet to the hydrolic arms? or is this a case of i have to get a hood and frame off a Golf which has electric hood?

only way to do it is pull the fabric off and fit to an electric frame. if it was me id convert the car to manual and sell all the electric bits on ebay

You can convert the frame, but if it's not something u can do yourself I can't see your gaining anything, and again if ur car doesn't already have power roof r u really sure it's something u want? Lots of brackets to cut out of donnor car and reattach to yours then the wiring, to be honest how quick and easy the mk1 hood is to put up n down I wouldn't bother!

the car already has the hydraulics as it was standard fit on the Rivage. The roof frame is bent and roof ripped so its no use. The replacement i have is a manual mohair and does not have the brackets which join the hydraulic arms.
Ive had a look at the old bent frame to see if its possible to remove the arms which connect to the hydraulic arms and fix them onto the manual roof??

if u have old roof should be easy just need to be 100% with measurements and ensure the brackets r weilded on well!
