Helios blue Campaign - rear window trim

Hi guys, wondering if someone could help me here.  I've just bought a helios blue campaign, which is fully restored.  However, it doesn't have the rear window black trim.  The guy i bought it off told me the helios blue campaigns didnt have it.  Is this true?!  As far as i know all GTi's did, including all the colour variations of the campaigns.

If anyone could advise me on this i would be eternally greatful.  If i need to get it, where do i get from, and how much, how do i apply it?  I want it 100% origional.

Kriss - I'm fairly certain the Helios cars DID have it - the black ones being the only ones that didn't. I think turbotechnics in here sells them. Apply with window out and soapy water.

Lot's of debate on this one before. According to pics of original cars I have seen helios blue did not have the black surround, only the silver side and tailgate stripes (the same as black cars). If you want to fit it turbotechnics on here can supply - drop him a PM.

My blue car hasn't got one on. Cars with black side stripes have the black window surround, cars with silver side stripes don't (IMO !)

Is that a fact (or another debate) that helios blue doesnt have the black trim!!!  That will save me a few quid that I can spend on something else……like a drink for you at Gaydon……

I think the black stripes with boot cover and silver stripes without is the correct one.

Mine has got the black bits but no stripe….seem to remember that last year at Gaydon most Helios cars were different to each other.

Will have to look this year!!!

No the Helios Blue did NOT have the Black Plastic trim in the rear door, I've had mine since it was new 22 years ago.

REf the P's don't know if it was mentioned about the part numbers as well as the gaps??
