Heater Switch Problem
I have fitted 2 heater switches in 1 week they work fine and then the knob sticks in one position, is it getting too hot and affecting the switch, can i cover the back in some heat proof tape or something? any suggestions?????

Is the blower motor noisy??? As the bearings on mine are going causing too much heat and affecting the switch. Just awaiting delivery of new blower motor from CrazyQuiff then problem should be solved
Hope this helps

heater switch
No the actual fan motor is 1 month old, could the ducting behind the dash be buggered, therefore pushing the heat through the dash, as in the windscreen demist position, thedriver side and the most part of the middle clears, but the passenger side appears to not clear as quickly???????? :dontknow:

My switch did the same thing last week - its insides got so warm they melted and the switch was stuck in setting 3.
I assumed the switch had been arcing which had caused the heat (?), but that could be wrong.

I went to Half-wits (Halfords) and bought some metal Tape that was heat proof and wrapped it round the back of the switch, ensuring that tno wires came in to contact with it!, so far no problem, i have also left the front heater plate off, to allow better air circulation, not ideal but while i need the heater, it will do!!!
