hatch drain holes

when you open the hatch and look just inside in the middle there is a drain hole,which on mine just drains into the boot instead of out .....should it???

This doesn't look right, I agree, but I've never seen any Mk1 with any different a setup.

However, there shouldn't be too much moisture coming down from the tiny hole in the centre of the tailgate (beside the latch) - I'd say that it's just for any condensation that gathers in the area.

mine pisses in!!!!!! do you think it might be the seal?? :dontknow:
