Full Paint enquiry

Its a while off until I am able to afford this but roughly how much would it cost to re spay my Cabriolet? I would like a proper job done, as in strip the car etc. Hope someone can help.

its all down to condition, damage,corrosion,colour, ect post some pics and i could give you a better idea.

I will have to take some, its in good condition however there is slight dents etc...

everybody charges differant prices pal so you best bet is to take it and get an estimate

The paint shop I've used in the past works on a rough cost of £100/panel.

This would roughly work out about £1k for the full car.

You need to find a trustworthy shop dude, try to find people who have had work done by the painter and have a look at the work.

Word of warning for you, keep some cash in reserve for unexpected problems. I have recently found the respray on my cabriolet (done by a previous owner ) is a pro bodge job!  :dontknow:

I've found a fair amount of hidden corrosion on the rear wheel arch (along with a sever rust in the inner arch area)

I can recomend trying to strip the car at home to save cash. If you have a clipper you need to very careful removing the clipper kit as some of the fixings are deleted from VW parts.
