Front struts

G'day..

Can anybody tell me how to recognise strut inserts in situ? My Mk1 diesel is starting to wallow a bit and I need to fix it. Last one that I did didn't have inserts and was a b****d as I had to borrow a spring compressor and take the whole thing to bits. Plus a wheel alignment it cost heaps. My Audi has inserts and I replaced them in 20 mins!

Insert installation always requires spring compressors on a Mk1.  If you mark the position of the strut and hab accuratly reassembly will restore camber.  Still should only be a 20min job per side.
