Think VW and GCP still do them
BCP in High Wycombe (01494 444851) provides panels for all sorts of cars - price ?59 for front panel..
I've used this company before for panels for previous vw and the quality of panels is great.
I'm picking up new panel on Thursday - after ordering today…

VW are selling a panel thats different to the UK cab and hatchback now, its possibly like the SA ones but cant confirm this (I know as I bought one and its different to both my cars). It has a longer towing eye than the UK hatch but thats different to the UK cab, and the holes for the grille are designed for the later cabro grille. Could it be for earlier cabs or for caddys? :dontknow:
The UK cab panel has strengthening around the towing eye and it points down a bit. i think its available from VW still but costs a lot more.
The panel I got also doesn't have any nuts welded to the slam panel for bolting on the radiator, etc. either!

I'll tell you once I get the new panel on thursday… thanks for the information - that is very useful to know.

FYI: the front panel I got was a perfect fit - I put it on the car this morning very happy with the finish and only second time I've done welding - quite happy with my work…

Which would anyone recommend? I'm swayed towards the GPC one at the moment as these are 'genuine' parts, aren't they?

Anybody had any experience of GSF front panel for the mk1? I noticed they do it for ?45 (exc. VAT) and GPC for ?75 (exc. VAT).

Sorry what is GPC (for future reference) thanks
