Front bumper on golf mk1

Hi!
Is it possible to install front bumper from golf mk2 on mk1?
Will the brackets fit on mk1?

MK2 brackets will not fit a mk1, however you can certainly make a mk2 bumper fit, the mk2 big bumper will need a little trimming though and the correct plastic bracket on the wing. possibly better to buy a replica designed for the mk1 though.

The problem is that I can't find in Macedonia a plastic bumper from mk1 in good condition, however a mk2 bumper is available in good condition. I'll get only the bumper and see if can be trimmed to fit the brachets.

the mk1 brackets should bolt onto the mk2 iron work, it is the plastic that needs cutting as believe it or not the mk2 bumper is not as wide as the mk1
