Fiishing welding in rear arches

Can anyone provide some advice on how to finish off welding in rear arches where they fold over and meet he inner arch?  I waqs planning on plug wedling but azm worried about rust?

hi mate if the inners a little rusty cut it out b4 welding and use panel bond its what they do on modern cars plus no more rust.

My names Dein.  I've fitted new inner arches and outer arches.  Not heard of panel bond.  Was going plug weld inner to outer then seal with sealant and paint with epoxy.   Just wondered what other people did and whether it worked.

oem arches are spot welded so plug welding will be fine, just put seam sealer all around the lip and you should be golden. some weld thru paint on the inside of the arch panels would be a good idea before you put the outer lip repair on
