factory sunroof leak

hi guys!

just brought a new mk1 and seem to have a problem with the factory sunroof drainage on the passenger front,The water seems to be draining out behind the dash board in the corner..Rather than out the door shut..

im going to attack it tonight! but just wondered if there's any tips to solving the problem!? does the tubeing run under the roof lining etc

tryed a search but can only seem to find pictures of the rear drainage holes!

any help what so ever would be greatly appreciated  !!!

You might want to check in the front scuttle under the screen - theres a couple of drain holes there also - and they will send water straight into your footwells!

The front drain tube is routed down the A pillar and should protrude out from a hole provided on the body of the car, (which you can see with the front door open)

My pipe had slipped back inside the body & water was getting into the drivers footwell via another hole further down, was probably filling the sill up too .  Turned out to be one of many leaky points I found when trying to sort the water problem….  :roll:  Worse offender was a hole beneath the windscreen seal that someone had covered over with masking tape, painted, then replaced the seal  8O  8O  8O
