electric roof not working

Hi I have a 1990 cabby gti big bumper model with electric roof, but the roof won't go up or down with the motor, I can hear the motor going, but the fluid by the motor is belo the minumum mark, how do you refill this and what type of fluid is it and where do you get it from?

Also there is a adjustment tap type thing, should I try adjusting that or is the problem most likely that fluid is too low?

HI pal this is something that is similar with my roof !

sometimes it works fine other times its doesn't, if it doesn't work i hear a clicking in the boot which im told by a recent check over by a specialist sparky ! the clicking is the relays. 3 in the boot  

the oil is topped up correctly so my next thing im going to do is replace the relay, he also mentioned that the motor might be sticking and give it a tap to see if that helps it along !

but all is good at the present

i have scanned in the pages from the manuel to show you all about the roof and topping oil up, hope it helps

finally sorted my roof problem !

the thick red wire going to the fuse box was corrided at the  fuse end !

it was attached and had power some times but not other times

so check your fuse bo! x it should be seperate to the main fuse box, it sits on the side and connects into it
