Dropped Door

Hi All
Got my car back from the menders last week…had the head completely restored….Phew!!…it goes like a rocket. I am fairly new to Golf Mk1's and now that the 'top' has been done I can understand why you all enthuse about them!!. Still a long way to go tho……

Oh!! I also thought that my clutch was going…making noise when depressing pedal…turned out to be the alternator…..where it connected at the bottom of the alternator to the engine…the bracket had come apart and was just flapping about…all nice and quiet now.  

Need advice….

I have a GTI Campaign….passenger door has 'dropped'.
I have tried moving door up and down while door is open and there is NO movement from the hinges (no movement from the pin either) presume I have to adjust either the door lock mech (with the two large allen screws) or the 'thing' on the centre pillar. There is a patch of nearly bare metal forming at the bottom of the sdoor frame where the door meets…Any advice would be appreciated. Sorry to have gone on
