Drivers Door

Hi

My wife has a 91 Clipper that I have been 'sorting'!

I am just about done; however I don't seem to be able to align the drivers door correctly.  At the front end of the door the side trim is about 2-3mm lower than the trim on the front wing.  Both trims are fitted correctly and I have tried adjusting the door hieght by slacking the securing bolts and jacikng the door up before retightening.

The only thing I can think of doing is removing the dor elongating the holes and shimming the top one so as not to misalign the back edge of the door.

Any Ideas??

Cheers  :banghead:

You might do better taking the wing off and adjusting that.  How does the door fit in the windscreen frame as this'll give you a clue about door sag.

Is there a big gap beteen the hinge tope due to wear - you could remove the hinge pins and shim there.
