if anyone else here has clarion speakers in theyre golf from stock maybe not many left that has factory speakers but i did and they were completely fried so i decided to replace them but i wanted a stock look and use the orginal grills this presented itself with a problem where the grill mounted on a square frame that was a part of the speaker itself soo i found a solution but canniballizing the old speakers and make them work with the new aftermarket once and thought id share what i did the grill needed to be spaced 4mm away from the frame to clear the tweeter then i added 4mm to the grill to compensate so that it would get back to sitting against the doorpanel so it would look right now it only needs paint and mounting i used infinity SPG-10C2 4" speakers 180w (45w rms)
